दिल्ली की हर महिला को मिलेंगे ₹2100, अब क्या करेगी BJP? | Delhi Election 2025 | Political Nari
In recent years, women-centered schemes have become a powerful tool in electoral politics, shaping outcomes across several states in India. Whether it's Maharashtra’s 'Ladki Behen Yojana,' special initiatives for women in Jharkhand, or policies in Madhya Pradesh and Bihar focusing on women, these programs have had a significant impact on election results. Now, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is launching a similar scheme for women in Delhi, aiming to give each woman ₹2,100 every month under the "Chief Minister's Women's Honor Scheme." This move by AAP is not the first of its kind. Previously, the Delhi government introduced free travel for women in DTC and cluster buses and deployed marshals for their safety. In 2019, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced free travel for women on buses, alongside enhanced security measures. Recently, AAP increased the amount for the Women's Honor Scheme from ₹1,000 to ₹2,100, addressing concerns about inflation and the rising cost of living. However, the opposition, particularly the BJP, dismisses such schemes as "freebies" aimed at winning elections, even though similar tactics have been used by them in states like Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. For instance, in Maharashtra, the 'Ladki Behen Yojana' helped the BJP win a significant portion of the vote share, particularly among women. Similarly, the BJP's 'Ladli Behen Yojana' in Madhya Pradesh contributed to their victory in the 2023 state elections. Women-focused schemes have proven to be a game-changer in recent elections, with parties recognizing their power in shaping political outcomes. As the Delhi elections approach, AAP’s ₹2,100 per month promise is set to play a crucial role. But will these schemes genuinely improve women's lives, or are they merely election strategies? Only the election results will tell.
