Muslim don't have any problem with the sound of shankhnaad, says, Maulana on Azan controversy

  • The Vice-Chancellor of Allahabad Central University had written a letter to the DM on the sleep disturbance from Azan. Now, the issue has become a part of the debate.
  • VC Dr. Sangeeta Srivastava had demanded to change the direction of the loudspeakers to which the mosque committee has agreed and taken action.
  • The News24 anchor asked the AIIA President Sajid Rashidi, "Azan is part of Islam but loudspeaker is not part of Islam?"
  • Rashidi said in response that earlier due to fewer cars and no air pollution, Azan was done without loudspeakers, but now without a loudspeaker, the sound will not go far.
  • He further added, "We also like the sound of temple hours and shankhnaad, Muslims do not mind even when the loudspeaker is played on Durga Puja."
