Muslim don't have any problem with the sound of shankhnaad, says, Maulana on Azan controversy
The Vice-Chancellor of Allahabad Central University had written a letter to the DM on the sleep disturbance from Azan. Now, the issue has become a part of the debate.
VC Dr. Sangeeta Srivastava had demanded to change the direction of the loudspeakers to which the mosque committee has agreed and taken action.
The News24 anchor asked the AIIA President Sajid Rashidi, "Azan is part of Islam but loudspeaker is not part of Islam?"
Rashidi said in response that earlier due to fewer cars and no air pollution, Azan was done without loudspeakers, but now without a loudspeaker, the sound will not go far.
He further added, "We also like the sound of temple hours and shankhnaad, Muslims do not mind even when the loudspeaker is played on Durga Puja."
