West Bengal Assembly elections: 82-year-old woman casts the first vote under the door-to-door facility
Campaigning is on for the West Bengal Assembly elections and there is an ongoing war between the political parties.
Elections in Bengal are to be held in eight phases and voting for the first phase is to be held on March 27 but the first vote of the assembly elections has been held.
The 82-year-old woman cast her vote in the Jhargram district of Bengal on Wednesday, under the door-to-door facility.
Letting you know, the Election Commission has given the option to vote at home by postal ballot to people who are above 80 years of age or are suffering from a serious illness.
With this, 6 other people above 80 years of age have also cast their votes. The Election Commission claimed that the entire process has been videographed.
