Increase Testing To 30K Per Day: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani
After the Covid-19 tally in Gujarat crossed 70,000, CM Vijay Rupani announced that the testing will be increased to 30,000 tests per day from today onwards.
Rupani said, “There was a time when 4,000 to 5,000 (tests) were being conducted every day. Yesterday, we conducted 26,000 tests."
He said, "Of course, we have been increasing this progressively for the past many days."
Rupani further added, "The increasing number of cases is not a matter of very high concern."
"But we want to increase testing so that those who have contracted the virus can be identified and thereby further spread of the virus can be prevented", said Rupani.
