Kerala government new restiction creates chaos among inter-state commuters
With Kerala government imposing restrictions on inter-state daily commuters, hundreds of residents from Kasaragod who are working in Dakshina Kannada had to return home from the border at Talapady on Tuesday.
The Kerala government on Monday decided to stop issuing e-passes for daily commuters between Mangaluru and Kasaragod with immediate effect.
Similarly, they also had ordered that all inter-state daily commuters should stay in their workplaces for the next 28 days after entering the other state.
Chaotic situation prevailed at Talapady when Kerala policemen started instructing all those who are entering Karnataka not to return forChao another 28 days.
Kerala revenue minister E Chandrashekharan had taken a decision after holding an official meeting in Kasaragod on Monday to prevent the spread of disease.
