Witnessing the continuous growth in cases Kerala on Sunday amended the state Epidemic Disease Ordinance, putting the Covid-control regulations in the state in place for the next one year.
With coronavirus cases gradually increasing in Kerala, the state government has issued new guidelines to act as preventive measures against the pandemic.
The new regulations known as ‘Kerala Epidemic Disease Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) Additional Regulations, 2020’, will be in force for a year i.e till July 2021, or till further government direction.
Till then,people will have to wear masks, maintain social distancing and avoid large gatherings till July 2021.
The state government has said that violators shall be punishable under the provisions of the Kerala Epidemic Diseases Ordinance, 2020.
