CM Mamata Announces Compensation Of Rs 5 Lakh & a Govt Job To Family Of 2 Soldiers From WB

  • West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh and a govt job for a family of each of the two soldiers who died in India-China faceoff.
  • Rajesh Orang of Birbhum district and Bipul Roy of Alipurduar were among the 20 Indian Army personnel, killed in a clash on Monday night.
  • Mamata said, “My heartfelt condolences to the families of the brave men martyred at #GalwanValley."
  • She further added, "I’m at pain to say that two of them belonged to West Bengal: Sepoy Rajesh Orang & Bipul Roy on General Duty."
  • “Nothing can compensate for the supreme sacrifice made by them for the nation or the bereaved families’ loss", said Mamata.
