Restrictions Between UP & Delhi Will Continue: UP Govt To Supreme Court

  • UP Govt told the Supreme Court that the restrictions on travel between UP and Delhi will continue to remain in place due to the spike in COVID 19 cases.
  • The state govt said that it will allow essential services, medical staff, media personnel, and advocates to travel between the two states.
  • It further added that the state was not in a position to open the borders at Noida and Ghaziabad immediately.
  • Advocate Garima Prashad said, “There are only 1,000 COVID 19 cases in Noida and Ghaziabad. In Delhi, the total deaths due to COVID 19 is more than 1,000, while it is just 40 in Noida and Ghaziabad."
  • Let us tell you, Haryana has informed the apex court that it will allow travel without restrictions to and from Delhi.
