Public Safety Act against Shah Faesal and two other PDP leaders revoked, Omar welcomes Administration Order

  • NC Vice President Omar Abdullah on Wednesday welcomes the release of Shah Faesal and two other PDP leaders, Sartaj Madni and Peer Mansoor from detention.
  • Shah Faesal was detained under PSA last year soon after Central Government revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir in August last year.
  • Former CM meanwhile also demanded release of other leaders including Ali Mohammad Sagar, Hilal Lone and PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti.
  • The Jammu and Kashmir administration on Wednesday revoked the stringent Public Safety Act against former IAS officer-turned-politician Shah Faesal and two PDP members.
  • The controversial Public Safety Act (PSA) against Faesal, was extended by three months on May 14.
