Not Even a Single Jamaati In Quarantine Centre: UP Govt To Allahabad HC
UP govt has informed the Allahabad HC that at present there is no Tablighi Jamaat member at any of its quarantine centres in the state.
The state govt said that they all have been released and sent home.
UP govt had to give details to the court as the lawyer, Shaad Anwar had filed a PIL seeking the court’s interference in investigating the release of Tablighi Jamaat members.
Let us tell you, over 2,728 Tablighi Jamaat members and their contacts have tested positive.
According to the govt submission report, 325 foreign Tablighi Jamaat members were quarantined in the state. Out of them, 46 were sent back to their countries, while 279 are lodged in jail.
