Delhi govt issues Notice to Hospitals for Inconsistency in Reporting COVID-19 Deaths
Kejriwal government issued a show-cause notice to several hospitals in the city, for enquiring about the "delay in reporting death cases."
Notices were issued to Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital, GTB Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, AIIMS, RML Hospital & Safdarjung Hospital asking them to explain reasons for the delay in reporting cases of death.
LJP Hospital was issued an advisory to "be careful in future" and follow the orders of the Health Dept properly so that there is no inconsistency in reporting the death toll to the government.
State's health minister Satyendar Jain said, "The Central govt-run hospitals including RML & Safdarjung Hospital are giving reports of death very late."
With 1,295 new cases, Delhi COVID-19 cases tally stands at 19844 and 473 people succumbed to the virus.
