Nationwide Lockdown Extended Till 30th June: MHA
- On Saturday evening, MHA announced that lockdown will be extended in containment zones till 30th June.
- The guidelines for Unlock 1 said, "Lockdown shall continue to remain in force in the containment zones till 30 June. In the containment zones, only essential activities shall be allowed."
- The statement also said that no movement of people will be allowed in or out of these zones, except for medical emergencies & for maintaining a supply of essential services.
- The guidelines also said that in the containment zones, there shall be intensive contact tracing, house-to-house surveillance, & other clinical interventions, as required.
- These guidelines for phased re-opening 'Unlock 1' of the nationwide lockdown will come into effect from June 1, 2020, and will be effective till June 30, 2020.
