Train From Dimapur Carrying 1600 Migrants Leave for Bihar

  • A train from Dimapur left with 1600 migrants from Bihar for Motihari in East Champaran district.
  • The train departed from the Dimapur railway station at 9 pm on Saturday.
  • The officials said that most of those on that train are auto-rickshaw drivers.
  • 15 buses from Kohima district ferried 339 migrant workers to the Dimapur District Sports Complex, while 5 buses from Mokokchung district reached there with 158 workers.
  • Before boarding, the train thermal screening of the passengers was done and the migrants were also provided food packets and water bottles.
