Omar Abdullah lashes out at Satya Pal Malik, calls him 'outright liar'
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah slammed former state Governor Satya Pal Malik for alleging that Omar boycotted panchayat polls under Pakistan's pressure.
The NC president called Malik an absolute liar who hid behind walls of Raj Bhavan and saved himself from defamation suits.
Earlier on Friday, Satya Pal Malik claimed that he had personally approached Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti and urged them to participate in the Panchayat elections but both refused because of Pakistan's pressure.
In September 2018, the PDP and National Conference boycotted urban local body and panchayat polls and asked Centre to clarify its position on Article 35-A.
After the Abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35A, Omar Abdullah was also placed under house arrest on August 5.
