CM Uddhav Thackeray Elected as Member of Maharashtra's Legislative Council
- CM Uddhav Thackeray has been elected unopposed to the state legislative council.
- Along with him, 8 others were also elected unopposed to the state Legislative Council.
- Earlier on Tuesday, 5 out of 14 nominations were withdrawn or rejected over technical grounds.
- Four candidates BJP’s Sandeep Lele and Ajit Gopchade and NCP’s Kiran Pawaskar and Shivajirao Garje withdrew their nominations.
- While papers of Independent candidate Shehbaz Rathod were found invalid during scrutiny.
