Coronavirus Outbreak: Facebook Post About Uttarakhand CM’s Death Fake, Case Filed

  • A case has been registered against those who have circulated a fake post about the death of Uttarakhand CM Trivendra Singh Rawat.
  • The state police headquarters has received four screenshots of the fake Facebook posts which claimed that CM Rawat is dead.
  • Ashok Kumar who is director-general of Uttarakhand said that we took the matter seriously and decided to take strict action immediately.
  • He also said that nobody will be spared and all will be arrested soon.
  • He further said that the state police have already warned people that stern action will be taken against those who are found to be spreading fake news.
