Coronavirus Outbreak: Uttarakhand Plans to Impose Coronavirus Tax on Liquor

The Uttarakhand government is planning to levy coronavirus tax on liquor in the state.
The liquor shops were allowed to open after more than a month in the green and orange zones in the state.
Cabinet Minister Madan Kaushik confirmed that the state government is planning to levy Covid cess on liquor like other states are planning.
He also said that the priority of the government is to ensure that the precautionary measures are being implemented in the market and public places
The move will ensure that there are no long queues at the liquor shops which is a danger to public health due to the pandemic.
