India Should Be Optimistic About the Economic Revival Post Lockdown: Abhijit Banerjee

Nobel laureate Abhijit Banerjee said that India should consider a big motive and give cash in hand to create demand.
He said that with this, the country will be able to prevent chains of bankruptcies to save the economy hit hard by the lockdown.
Abhijit Banerjee asked govt to use temporary ration cards for three to six months for every person who needs food grains.
“Be brave and take risks. When you are in dire straits, being brave is the only option,” he further added.
He said that India should be optimistic about the overall economic revival post-lockdown.
