He Endured His Illness With Dignity and Grace: Mamata Banerjee on Rishi Kapoor's Death

  • Bollywood legend Rishi Kapoor passed away at the age of 67 after battling leukemia for 2 years.
  • Paying condolence to his family West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee tweeted, "deeply shocked & saddened at the demise of the iconic & versatile film actor Rishi Kapoor." 
  • "A National Film Award winner, he acted in more than 150 films," she said.
  • Banerjee further tweeted, "He endured his illness with dignity and grace. My condolences to his family, friends, fans & the entire film fraternity." 
  • Let us tell you that Rishi Kapoor was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Mumbai's H N Reliance hospital on Wednesday night.
