Coronavirus Outbreak: 692 Jail Inmates Have Been Granted Bill in Rajasthan
Ashok Jain who is member secretary of Rajasthan state legal service authority said that 492 jail inmates have been granted bill and 146 persons have been released on parole.
There are 1,881 jail inmates have been filed an application in court but 921 applications got rejected and the rest applications are pending.
Supre Court also issued an order to all states to form a committee to take a call on jail inmates under the leadership of the chairman of state legal service authority.
The state government also conducted a screening of jail inmates and also asked them about their travel history.
The jail authorities also made two wards for treating coronavirus patients.
