Coronavirus Outbreak: Haryana Man Arrested for Making Threat Calls to Randeep Surjewala
The police have arrested a Kaithal man for making threat calls to Congress leader Randeep Surjewala who lives in Sector 6, Panchkula.
The accused has been identified as Agrim and police said that Surjewala has a house in Kaithal and the accused lives near his house there.
Lalit Kumar who is a sector 5 station house officer said that Surjewala submitted a complaint online stating that the caller, claiming to be from a gang in Uttar Pradesh.
Congress leader Surjewala received phone calls and callers claiming to be members of gangs of Mukhtar Ansari, Raja Bhaiya and Pappu Yadav and they threatened to eliminate him and his cousin Sudeep Surjewala.
The case has been registered under Section 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC at Sector 5 police station.
