  • Sambit Patra said that Congress doesn't want to light candles to show solidarity with India.
  • Patra tweeted, "If You all from Congress don’t want to light a candle to stand in solidarity with India...if that’s too much of a pain for you Congress-people...so be it...stay in darkness, but at least don’t forget to put off that 'TUBELIGHT'!!"
  • Sambit Patra was replying to Shashi Tharoor's tweet who said, "PM's speech had nothing about how to ease people’s pain, their burdens, their financial anxieties." 
  • Earlier PM Modi requested every citizen to switch off all the lights of their house on 5th April at 9 PM for 9 minutes.
