West Bengal: Banks To Resume Its Normal Operations Amid Lockdown

  • In keeping with the latest directive from the SLBC, all bank branches in the state have been asked to resume normal operations.
  • However, the circular has put bank employees and officers in a fix as no transport arrangement has been made to ferry them to and from their offices during the 21-day lockdown.
  • Additionally, many bank staffers are worried that regular contact with customers could prove to be hazardous for them.
  • The SLBC circular said that all bank branches, irrespective of location, will remain open till 4 pm on all working days and all ATMs will function 24x7. They will be replenished with cash on a regular basis.
