West Bengal: Banks To Resume Its Normal Operations Amid Lockdown
In keeping with the latest directive from the SLBC, all bank branches in the state have been asked to resume normal operations.
However, the circular has put bank employees and officers in a fix as no transport arrangement has been made to ferry them to and from their offices during the 21-day lockdown.
Additionally, many bank staffers are worried that regular contact with customers could prove to be hazardous for them.
The SLBC circular said that all bank branches, irrespective of location, will remain open till 4 pm on all working days and all ATMs will function 24x7. They will be replenished with cash on a regular basis.
