Coronvsirus: Bihar CM Releases Rs 100 Crores Relief Package to Fight COVID-19

  • Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has released Rs 100 Crores as a relief package to the state disaster management department.
  • Kumar said, "We will provide food and shelter for every Bihar resident, who is trapped in the corona crisis, irrespective of his or her location".
  • The relief package covers all who have rendered vulnerable and left without a livelihood.
  • This fund will be utilized to provide food and shelter to migrant laborers who have returned to the state and state people like rickshaw-pullers.
  • The CM has alerted govt officials, telling them to switch to a quick response mode to alleviate the pains of those who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 crisis.
