Emergency measures by GoI appreciable, need more concrete steps : Altaf Bukhari
Jammu Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari appreciated the emergency measures announced by the RBI in wake of Coronavirus pandemic.
Bukhari stated that the measures taken by the central may have provided a relief but these financial relaxations have offered no relief to the struggling businesses that are non-functioning for the last one year in J&K.
"There is a dire need for an economic package and all borrowers must be covered in loan restructuring so that their accounts are not declared as NPAs", JKAP president said.
He said the already announced moratorium period is a first step for easing out the burden from traders and business community.
JKAP president further said that the union finance ministry must put in all efforts to provide interest subvention to important sectors like tourism, horticulture, agriculture, and MSME manufacturing.
