Kerala Government to set up community volunteers force during pandemic
Kerala Government has decided to set up community volunteers force in the wake of COVID-19.
According to CM Vijayan, the government will recruit 2,36,000-member strong Community Volunteer Force to support special tasks during COVID-19 pandemic.
These volunteers will be given the task to support local home delivery of food; bystanders in hospital and support personnel during emergency.
CM stated that persons between 22 years and 40 years are welcome to join the volunteer force and will be trained locally.
In Kerala, so far, around 138 persons have tested positive for Covid -19 and 126 persons are undergoing treatment in isolation wards.
