PM Modi Urge G20 Leaders to Come Out With Plan to Fight COVID-19 Pandemic

  • PM Modi urged the G20 leaders to come out with a plan which focused on human lives and reduced hardships faced by economically weaker sections.
  • At the G20 meet, PM said that there was a need to put human beings at the center of the grouping’s message.
  • "Let’s put human beings rather than economic targets at center of our vision for global prosperity, cooperation," PM said at G20 meet on coronavirus.
  • On Thursday, the G20 group met through video conferencing and pledged $5 trillion to be injected into the global economy by member nations especially to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • The total number of cases in India rises to 694 as per the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare data.
