UP Government bans sale of Pan Masala in the wake of coronavirus pandemic

  • The UP government on Wednesday banned the manufacture and sale of pan masala to avoid coronavirus spread.
  • "Manufacturing, sale and storage of pan masala is being banned in the state till further orders," Food Security Commissioner Ministhy S stated.
  • The state government has issued a set of new guidelines to be followed during the lockdown.
  • The government is also dealing strictly with those who are violating the orders.
  • The total number of positive cases reached 38 in the state on Thursday after one more positive case was reported from Pilibhit.
