Database of Covid-19 patients in Kerala hacked

  • Database of Covid-19 patients and quarantined persons in Pathanamthitta district has been hacked from the district administration’s computers.
  • "Police are already looking into the matter about the data being hacked of people in home isolation", said district collector PB Nooh.
  • The database of those in direct contact with people who arrived from abroad and people who came from abroad was prepared by the core team of the district administration.
  • This database was handed over to the police and the district health administration for monitoring these people.
  • The district police chief K G Simon is heading the probe team which is assigned for looking the matter of data breach.
