COVID-19: 31,000 people in home isolation, 24,000 in capital city alone
Health and Family Welfare Department reveals that 31,000 people are in home isolation in Karnataka, of which 24,000 are in Bengaluru.
On Monday night, thousands of people including several home- quarantined persons rushed to leave Bengaluru for their hometowns.
"Teams are currently working on tracing people to ensure they are strictly in home isolation,” stated Pankaj Kumar Pandey, health commissioner.
Allaying concerns raised by public health experts over the state’s preparedness, the government claimed that the Covid-19 situation in the state is under control.
According to health commissioner so far only single-digit positive cases have been reported every day so there is no community spread.
