Jammu and Kashmir hospitals not ready to deal with coronavirus pandemic
As the world struggles to fight against COVID-19, fear also arises in Indian-administered Kashmir.
Hospitals in Kashmir remains understaffed and ill-equipped to fight the outbreak.
Jammu and Kashmir which holds around 1.25 crore population have 180 ventilators, occupied by the patients at all times, rarely leaving any space for COVID-19 patients.
Doctors have also raised concerns about the lack of proper and adequate protection equipments like N95 masks, PVC coated gowns and ventilators in hospitals.
The Union Territory reported three more positive cases of Covid-19 on Tuesday, taking the total number of positive cases to seven.
