Coronavirus Outbreak: CM Kejriwal Places Delhi Under Lockdown till 31st March

  • Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal announced a complete lockdown in Delhi from 6 am on Monday till March 31 midnight.
  • During a joint press conference with Governor Anil Baijal, CM said, "For your health, for Delhi and the nation, we have decided to lock down Delhi from 6 am on Monday till March 31st midnight."
  • He also said that no public transport services shall be permitted and only DTC buses shall operate at not more than 25% capacity to cater to personnel engaged in essential services.
  • CM also annouced compulsory paid leaves for all the employees in the private sector, both permanent and contractual and all private companies will have to pay full salaries to employees during the lockdown.
  • He also assured people that dairies, grocery shops, chemists and petrol pumps to remain open.
