Coronavirus: WB Sets Up 2 Emergency Isolation Facilities In the State

  • The WB govt has informed that the state has set up two emergency isolation facilities in Kolkata due to the coronavirus threat.
  • West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said that the state was fully equipped to face any eventuality amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
  • According to Banerjee, the government has set up two isolation facilities in Rajarhat.
  • She said, “A cancer hospital for which the state govt had provided land and funds is being taken over for the time being amidst the coronavirus outbreak." 
  • "This facility has 200-300 beds. Another isolation facility with 200-300 beds in Rajarhat itself has been made operational", Mamata further added.
