Amid Coronavirus Threat, Delhi Govt Bans IPL in Delhi
Delhi government has banned IPL and all sporting activities until further notice for the purpose of prevention and control of the outbreak of the epidemic disease COVID-19.
This ban comes after CM Arvind Kejriwal ordered the closure of all schools, colleges, and theatre in the city till March 31.
There have been 75 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in India including 6 confirmed in Delhi.
The COVID-19 outbreak originated in a food market in China's Wuhan district in December last year.
The WHO has declared Coronavirus a pandemic which means it has spread worldwide and affected a huge number of people.
