RTI No Citizenship Record For CM Khattar

The Haryana govt does not have documents to prove the citizenship of CM Manohar Lal Khattar, Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya and other Cabinet ministers.
This was revealed by the Right to Information query.
Panipat-based activist PP Kapoor had filed an RTI in January seeking certificates of documents that would prove the citizenship of the CM, the governor, and other ministers.
Before the Haryana Assembly elections last year, Khattar had said that he would implement the NRC in his state along the lines of Assam to remove illegal immigrants.
While speaking to media, he said that about 1,500 people who had come to India following religious persecution in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan were living in Haryana.
