Gujarat government promotes DG Vanzara after retirement

Gujarat government has given promotion to former IPS officer DG Vanzara after retirement.
By issuing the order on Tuesday, the Gujarat government promoted DG Vanzara to the post of IG from the back date.
Let me tell you, DG Vanzara was also accused of fake encounter in Gujarat.
In 2004, the CBI investigation of the encounter near the Katarpur by the Ahmedabad police was declared fake.
After which all police officers including DG Vanzara were arrested and a charge sheet was filed in the court.
