We Need to Find an Active and Full-Time Leadership: Shashi Tharoor

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said that the party should fix its leadership issues on top priority to address the growing perception among the people that the party is "adrift."
He also said if Rahul Gandhi doesn't return as party chief then the party needs to find an "active and full-time leadership."
Tharoor said, "We need to start with a longer-term, as opposed to interim, Congress president, as well as the 'elected' membership of the Working Committee."
He also said the need of the hour is to find a new president and leadership through a transparent and democratic electoral process.
Tharoor hoped that those who are currently against the idea of elections for CWC recognize that a participatory electoral process is an exercise in inner-party democracy that will strengthen the party.
