22 People Lost Their Lives, While 322 People Still in Jail For Agitating Against CAA: UP Govt

  • The UP govt informed the Allahabad HC about the people who lost their lives and about people who were arrested for agitating against CAA.
  • It was told that 22 people lost their lives during protests, 83 were injured, 883 people were arrested on charges of spreading violence.
  •  Govt advocate general Manish Goyal said 561 people have got bail, 322 are still in jail and 45 policemen were injured.
  • The next hearing of the plea filed in the court in the case of police atrocities against the protesters will now be on 18 March.
  • At the same time, the hearing on the plea filed against the police action on the students of AMU has been postponed on Monday.
