Government can take possession over Azam Khan's Land

  • UP's government can take possession over 66 acres of land of Azam Khan's Jauhar Trust.
  • The SP MP bought a total of 66 acres in the name of the trust, but the stamp duty has not been paid.
  • Mulayam Cabinet had decided to give exemption from duty on the condition of working on public interest.
  • According to the rules, free education was to be given to the poor and minorities, but this was not happening.
  • After investigation, the charges were proved, which will now be heard in the ADM (Finance and Revenue) Court.
