Nirbhaya case: Justice Banumathi Faints During Trial, Hearing postponed

  • Justice Banumati fainted during the hearing of the Central Govt's plea to hang the convicts separately in the Nirbhaya case.
  • Justice Banumathi had a high fever, he was hurriedly rushed to her chamber and were examined by doctors.
  • Giving information, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said, her health was bad since morning as she was suffering from high fever.
  • After the incident, Justice AS Bopanna said, the order in the case will now be pronounced in the Chamber, the date has not been announced.
  • Let us tell you that the convicts were to be hanged first on 22 Jan and then on 1st February, but the guilty escaped due to pending legal remedies.
