There might be a tug of war between the three allies of MVA govt in Maharashtra after 7 Rajya Sabha members retire in April.
The members retiring from Maharashtra on 2nd April are NCP Chief Sharad Pawar and his party colleague Majeed Menon.
Other MPs are Congress’ Hussain Dalwai, the Shiv Sena’s Rajkumar Dhoot, Union minister Ramdas Athawale (RPIA), BJP’s Amar Sable and Independent MP Sanjay Kakde.
The MVA government is sure of winning four of these seven seats with the help of its 169 legislators.
Let us tell you that the Rajya Sabha candidate is elected by the MLAs and MLAs give preference of all the candidates.
