"Central Government Not Planning to Conduct Nationwide NRC"

On Wednesday, the central govt said it in the Parliament that it is not planning to conduct the nationwide NRC.
Union minister Nityanand Rai in a written reply said, "Till now, the government has not taken any decision to prepare NRC at the national level."
With this statement, the government hopes to calm the agitators who have been protesting against NRC and CAA.
The minister also said that the center is in contact with the CMs of non-BJP states and is trying to address their fears and explaining the government's position.
Before this PM Modi also asserted that his govt is not planning to bring nationwide NRC and it was done in Assam only after SC orders.
