Kerala Declares Coronavirus a State Calamity
- On Monday, the Kerala govt declared a novel coronavirus epidemic as a "state calamity" after three people were tested positive for the infection in the state.
- State Health Minister KK Shailaja said the govt will take all the necessary steps to ensure that the coronavirus outbreak is effectively controlled.
- KK Shailaja said, "We have started tests in Alappuzha NIV. Now all districts are completely prepared to take contentment action."
- "We are trying to access the list of people who have come from Wuhan in China. We will approach the emigration department," she further added.
- Shailaja informed that people who are coming back from China are evading health dept which is a very dangerous situation.
