CM Vijayan Writes to PM Modi, Request Evacuation of Indians from China
- Kerala CM Pinarayi wrote a letter to PM Modi asking him to take measures to evacuate the marooned Indians immediately.
- In the letter, Pinarayi Vijayan has asked to evacuate Indians stranded at Wuhan of Hubei Province, which is the epicenter of the virus outbreak, by charting a special flight.
- The letter read, "The ground situation in Wuhan has worsened and we have info from the relatives of Kerala students studying at various universities there that the situation is grave."
- "A special flight to Wuhan or a nearby functional airport should be started and airlift the Indian nationals stranded there to bring them back to India," the letter further read.
- The CM further assured the assistance of medical professionals from the state for the students who come back to India.
