Bhim Army Chief Chandrashekhar Azad Detained by Delhi Police

  • On Friday night protesters gathered outside the Delhi Police headquarters to demand the release of around 40 people who were detained in the protest against CAA.
     
  • Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar Azad was again detained by the Delhi police on Friday.
     
  • 8 of those detained by the police were minors aged between 14-15 years and they will be released when their parents come to collect them.

  • As the protests turned violent and a car parked at Daryaganj was set on fire the police had to resort to lathi-charge and water cannons.
     
  • But the Delhi Police denied lathi-charges against the protestors stating that they only used "mild force" and water cannons.
