PM Modi Pays Tribute to Dr. Ambedkar on his Death Anniversary

President Ram Nath Kovind and PM Modi paid floral tribute to Dr. BR Ambedkar on his 63rd death anniversary at the Parliament.
Former PM Manmohan Singh, VP Venkaiah Naidu, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, NCP chief Sharad Pawar were also present there.
PM Modi tweeted: "Ambedkar ji gave a unique gift to the country in the form of the Constitution, which is the cornerstone of our democracy. A grateful nation will always be indebted to him."

While the VP tweeted that Dr. Ambedkar was a champion of democracy, a staunch patriot, a nationalist who cared about the downtrodden.
He further said, "the tributes we pay him today will be meaningful only if we follow his ideals and uphold the values and ethics he propounded, in public life.
