Coronavirus: Gehlot Govt Seeks Financial Assistance from Center After Losing Rs 18,000 Crores
Rajasthan govt has asked for immediate financial assistance from the central govt citing that a revenue loss of Rs 18,000 Crore due to lockdown.
CM Ashok Gehlot informed that Rs 3,500 crore of revenue was lost in the last week of March.
He also said that the state govt was working on a strategy to ensure that Above Poverty Line (APL) families should not lose their status to BPL ones due to lockdown.
A statement issued by state govt said, "The advisor to the CM Arvind Mayaram is working on the economic models to reduce the impact of lockdown in the state."
CM also said that the state govt has made all the preparations to ensure that social distancing is followed at all food grains mandis.
