Congress asks for a JPC inquiry into leaked Whatsapp chats of Arnab Goswami

After the Whatsapp chats between Arnab Goswami and former BARC head, Partho Dasgupta went viral, the Congress leaders have asked the govt to institute a JPC inquiry into the ‘Chatgate’.
The leaders contended that there was evidence that he knew about the Balakot airstrikes that were planned by the BJP regime.
While the party is now planning to hold a 'big press conference' to edge the government.
Former I&B minister Manish Tewari tweeted, "If what sections of Media is reporting is correct then it points towards a direct linkage between Balakot airstrikes and 2019 General elections."
"Was National Security milked for electoral purposes? Needs a JPC investigation", he further added.
