Center Has Taken a Serious Note of Elephant Killing: Prakash Javadekar
- Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said that the center has taken note of the killing of an elephant in Kerala and assured that the culprits will be punished.
- Javadekar tweeted, "Central Government has taken a very serious note of the killing of an elephant in Mallapuram, Kerala."
- "We will not leave any stone unturned to investigate properly and nab the culprit(s). This is not an Indian culture to feed firecrackers and kill," he added.
- On 27th May an Elephant died after it ate a pineapple stuffed with firecrackers.
- According to the forest officials, the elephant died standing in river Velliyar after it suffered an injury in its lower jaw.
