I Am Not a Fool, I Am Not Going To Light a Lamp: NCP Leader

NCP leader Jitendra Awhad said that he will donate money to the poor during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis instead of lighting lamps or candles.
Awhad’s comment came after PM Modi asked people to light candles and diyas on April 5 at 9 pm to mark the united fight against novel coronavirus outbreak.
Awhad said, "I am not a fool, I am not going to light a lamp."
He further added that PM Narendra Modi is making an event of such serious grave situation, he said.
Jitendra Awhad, said, "The nation today expected that PM Modi would assure the citizens that there will be no shortage of medicines and not a single Indian should sleep empty stomach."
